Do you know the Bangladeshi tourism players?

Second network initiative from Views On Tourism
One of the goals of the Views On Tourism project is to facilitate networking and cooperation among national, regional and international players. It is not always easy to get an overview at the multiple players related to the Bangladeshi tourism sector, and before cooperation is possible players need know of each others existence.

First network initiative was the LinkedIn group Views On Tourism – Bangladeshi network and discussion , a network and discussion forum for the Bangladeshi tourism sector and people interested in this topic.

The second network initiative, initiated October 2009, is to provide an overview at the national tourism industry. The target is to build an online accessible introduction to important and professional Bangladeshi tourism players’, which hopefully will increase national and international interaction.
To create an effective overview, which does not require constantly update on minor detail changes, the following data is being gathered: tourism sector category, name of tourism player, logo (jpg), webpage address, a short description of the tourism player (maximum 100 words!) and a public LinkedIn profile (only 1 profile pr. introduction!). In this initial face the ‘BD tourism’ overview is mainly focusing on the following categories: Association, Information, Conservation, Higher Education and Public Authorities. The information is sorted by categories and hereafter the related players are mentioned in alphabetic order.

Please have a look at the Bangladeshi tourism overview, which you find in the top of this blog titled ‘BD tourism’ or through this link .
As the creation of this database is an ongoing task largely depending on the support from the blog readers and Bangladeshi tourism players, data input or corrections are most welcome through mail info@viewsontourism.info.

    Dear Christopher

Thank you very much for your comment – you sound like you have knowledge and services to share to the national tourism field. Please consider writing an article to this blog about your experience and knowledge – for example how is the demand, status and potential on active beach holiday in Bangladesh?

My project is all about capacity building in the Bangladeshi tourism sector – through sustainable development, knowledge and networking. I am not planning to start up local tourism services my self, but I would like to invite you to become a part of the Views On Tourism group.
