Lived in Dhaka at Sonargoan Hotel for 2 years with my family and was General Manager at that Urban City Resort. Carry great memories of those days ... it was my first introduction to Asia [by birth I am Belgian - by passpoet Canadian and am a resident of the United States of America... Hotelier by "Passion for Service and the language of Hospitality]. Might have staed longer than 2 years ... regretfully the environment was not condusive for business and lagen with internal strife on many levels... I have never been back [1987 through 1989]... Mr. Abu Hena was secretary of Tourism and I remeber him as a soft spoken individual with a great focus on the job at hand. Not sure in all these years since - and I travel the world has anyone ever walked upto me and said ... "we had fabulous vacation in Bangladesh...
