A unique student opportunity to work in Sundarbans

Interested in doing something different this season? Do you take interest in working with communities? Do you think what it takes to be a trail blazer in you?
If YES, then under the umbrella of International Climate Champions (ICC) programme, you can join me in developing a youth integrated ecotourism model in Sunderbans. British Council owns the ICC programme globally and in Bangladesh, the strategic partner is Bangladesh Centre for Advance Studies (BCAS). Under this programme, we are pioneering a unique model to institutionalise ecotourism in Bangladesh and we want to do this with you!

Who can apply?
Students from all spectrums are welcome, however special focus will be given to students from Environmental Science, BBA, Architecture and Media & Mass Communication.

When & Where?
A group of young minds will be backpacking in Sunderbans to work with the community living in Chandpai range. The approximate date of our journey is from 10 March – 14 March 2010. Honorary Certificates will be provided upon completion of the task.

How to be part of it?
Send your CV or expression of interested at or call/text 01711 636 535

Deadline 24 February 2010. Only 15 students will be nominated, hence early birds will certainly get more privilege.
