Harmful tourism behaviour in Sundarbans

Huge vessels in Sundarbans

This photo shows several tourist vessels anchored near Kotka forest office in the Sundarbans recently. While tourism there is booming, it is not without effect. A few of these vessels had loud overnight concerts onboard for the tourists, despite forest officials’ repeated requests not to hold such programmes considering preservation of tranquillity of the wildlife habitat.
