May I introduce you to LinkedIn or the Views On Tourism network?

Bangladeshi tourism players are generally quite good at face to face networking, but why not take these skills to a higher level? An acknowledged successful tourism strategy is to enhance cooperation between the many tourism players national, regional and international. Based on my own experience, and input from several local tourism players, I believe increasing cooperation between the many different players can make a huge impact on the Bangladeshi tourism sector. The network group Views On Tourism is part of the worldwide network service, LinkedIn – so let me start here.

LinkedIn is an online interconnected network of more than 40 million experienced professionals from around the world. Last time I checked over 120.000 professional members were related to tourism and more than 15.000 members were linked to Bangladesh. Through LinkedIn you can easily find, be introduced to, and collaborate with qualified professionals that you need to work with to accomplish your goals. Follow the link to go to LinkedIn .
At this point is important to explain that the basic LinkedIn network is a free of cost service, which makes profit through advertising and selling extra network services to members. For example ordinary members can send out a limit of invitations at a time, while a paying LinkedIn member can send out a higher number of invitations. You can easily get along as an ordinary member – but to make the most out of it I recommend you to read and follow this advise link .

The ‘Views On Tourism group’ is a network and discussion forum for the Bangladeshi tourism sector and people interested in this topic. The potential of this network group is huge! Imagine a Bangladeshi network where members can interact, national as well international, to exchange views, find new employees, develop sustainable destinations, start up innovative products or launch investment possibilities. You will get the most out of this group by:
– getting familiar with your co-members, you can find them under ’more’ and ‘members’.
– being an active member – participate in discussions and start new ones.
– keeping yourself easy updated on articles from the Views On Tourism web-page.
