Sustainable tourism – peace, poverty-eradication, understanding, fun

Tourism has untold and amazing potential. This year there will be nearly 1 billion international trips and probably another 5 billion domestic and regional ones. It’s simply the world’s biggest industry. That represents a lot of people, a lot of employment and a lot of money – totaling massive potential power.

Just think how much bigger this power could be and how much happiness and freedom it could bring:

For world peace… This is a real opportunity for PEACE through tourism

For poverty-eradication … Poor countries get $10bn from tourism, how to make it really work to eradicate poverty?

For harmony and understanding… EU president puts sustainable and responsible tourism top of agenda

And fun!… Boogeying in Budapest, a way to sustainable and diverse economic growth?
