Views On Tourism Project initiator, Danish Majbritt Thomsen, vision the creation of a grass root sustainable tourism movement in Bangladesh and South Asia build on knowledge sharing and network.

Living in Bangladesh from 2007 to 2010 she has shared her views through newspaper articles, TV appearance and seminars on the status of the Bangladeshi tourism sector, the vision of a sustainable tourism development and the potential of regional cooperation. These PR initiatives have also included on The Views On Tourism Project as well as her 2008 report on the Bangladeshi tourism potential for The Royal Danish Embassy, Dhaka.
June 2010 Majbritt Thomsen moved back to Denmark, but this online knowledge blog as well as the Views On Tourism network group ensures that the vision of a sustainable tourism movement is still very much alive. Read more at ‘About Views On Tourism’.

    My advice to you as a tour operator in the beautiful Chittagong Hill Tracts is the same advice I give to all tourism stakeholders in Bangladesh: Your country has the potential, resources and visionary people to develop a positive and sustainable tourism industry. What is needed is a long term sustainable tourism development based on knowledge-sharing, cooperation and sustainable values.
